Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit sleekexcel.com or buy our course, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Sleek Excel is a trading name of Sleek Data Solutions Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC829909.

Registered office: Old Byre House, Burnhervie, Inverurie, Scotland, AB51 5LE
Contact for any privacy question or request: fraser@sleekexcel.com

We are the data controller, which means we decide why and how your personal data is processed. We are a very small business and are not required to have, and do not have, a designated data protection officer.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Your name and email address, which you enter at checkout so we can send you your course access and bonuses.

Anything you write to us by email, including refund requests and support questions.

Your email address is recorded when you start the checkout, before the payment itself completes. If you begin a purchase and abandon it, we may still hold your email address. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 7).

Information collected automatically

Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and time of visit. Our hosting and platform providers record this in standard server logs.

Analytics data — we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity records how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and can replay those sessions so we can see where the site is confusing and improve it.

Advertising data — if you reached this site through an advertisement, a Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tracking pixel may record which pages you viewed and whether you completed a purchase, so we can measure whether our advertising works.

Information we receive from our payment providers

When you pay, Stripe or PayPal processes the payment and sends us a confirmation containing your name, email address and transaction details. We never see or store your full card number. Your card details are handled entirely by the payment provider.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. Ours are:

Deliver the course and bonuses you bought

Performance of a contract

Process your payment and keep the records

Contract; legal obligation (accounting)

Answer your questions and handle refunds

Contract; legitimate interests

Send you course updates and, if you opted in, our emails

Consent — you can unsubscribe at any time

Keep the website running and secure

Legitimate interests

Measure and improve our advertising

Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests

Understand how the site is used (analytics)

Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests

Follow up on an abandoned checkout

Legitimate interests

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to make any automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to run this business:

Systeme.io — our website, checkout, course delivery and email. Receives your name, email address, order details and technical data.

Stripe and PayPal — payment processing. They receive your payment and contact details directly from you and act as their own controllers for that data.

Microsoft — website analytics and session replay through Microsoft Clarity, if analytics cookies are active.

Meta Platforms — advertising measurement, if you arrived through one of our ads.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. Where your data goes

Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom, principally in the United States and the European Union, so your data may be transferred and stored there. Where such a transfer takes place we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law, including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the providers’ certification under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable.

6. How long we keep it

Purchase and payment records — at least 6 years, as required by UK tax and accounting law.

Customer email addresses — while you have access to the course, so we can send updates, and for our emails until you unsubscribe.

Abandoned checkout email addresses — no longer than 12 months, then deleted.

Email correspondence — up to 3 years after our last exchange.

Server logs and technical data — up to 12 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;

correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;

delete your data;

restrict or object to how we use it;

transfer your data to another provider;

withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.

Email fraser@sleekexcel.com and we will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, please tell us first, as we would rather put it right. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113. If you are in the EEA, you may instead complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Our site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, including keeping your checkout session active.

We also use analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the site is used, and, if you arrived through one of our advertisements, Meta’s advertising pixel may set cookies to measure the result of that advertisement. Where required, we ask for your consent before those cookies are set. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.

10. Children

This course is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16, and we do not direct this site at children.

11. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, and payments are handled entirely by Stripe and PayPal. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
